If you’re a matcha lover heading to New York—or just manifesting your next matcha moment—these are three spots you need to try. Each one serves up aesthetic vibes, quality green tea, and cozy corners worth lingering in.
Here’s where I went:
1. 12 Matcha– SoHo
This SoHo gem serves up sustainably sourced, ceremonial-grade matcha in a calm, plant-filled space. Their Vanilla Zen latte is my go-to—smooth, creamy, and slightly sweet without being overpowering.
Location: 54 Bond St, New York, NY 10012
Order: Classic Matcha Latte Hot or Iced (I got whole milk)
Vibe: Elevated, Minimalist, Authentic, Unique
2. Cha Cha Matcha – Nolita
Cha Cha Matcha is a classic, and for good reason. Bright pink walls, upbeat energy, and a menu full of fun twists on traditional matcha. I went with the Matcha Lemonade this time and sipped it while people-watching outside.
Location: 327 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10012
Order: Iced Matcha Lemonade
Vibe: Lively, pink, photogenic
3. Blank Street – East Village
A newer find and such a vibe. This vegan bakery has the prettiest matcha lattes and flaky croissants that happen to be plant-based. Worth the trip across the bridge.
Location: 149 Avenue A, New York, NY 10009
Order: Iced Matcha Latte
Vibe: Quiet, hidden gem
